Our Review

The ethereal quality of many of the songs on Kevin J. Browne's An Ambient Christmas make this a beautiful CD for late night listening, perhaps to be put on random play as the last CD you play at your Christmas party--once the party has peaked and you want to encourage a mellow mood.... It is the sort of music I play all the time, but I don't know what that says about me.

Brown has applied his own style to holiday favorites, and I like his style. He explores unique and engaging rhythm and tempo to spice up songs you have probably heard before. I was very happy with his treatment of our anthem, Do You Hear What I Hear. I was particularly impressed with the dramatic presentation of several of the numbers; Browne does an excellent job of setting the mood. And that's the bottom line: this is excellent mood music for the holiday season.
