Our Review

Patrick Ball is a very good harper. Listen as he re-creates the Christmas traditionals with his Celtic harp. The articulation of every note is sure and sweet, and his execution of difficult passages is flawless. He effects a delicate yet assertive style.

In particular, I enjoyed his joining of The Gloucester Wassail with When Blossoms Flowered 'Midst the Snow (The Christmas Rose). His Celtic harp is just right for falling snow.

I enjoyed every song on the CD, but his Auld Lang Syne was the most sentimental and beautiful I have heard. In the right company and heard just before midnight on December 31, this song could bring a tear to my eye.

This is one of nine fine Christmas CDs available from Celestial Harmonies.
