Our Review
There is a lot more to be said for That Christmas Feeling than I can say without seeming to gush. Steve Barta's classically-influenced jazz piano renditions of Christmas classics (old and new) were enough to make me feel the Christmas spirit in August! Barta used all acoustic instruments to make this recording, and it gives the recordings a warmth that would not have been achieved any other way.
His music rivals the finest Christmas records I've heard. There is a depth to Barta's touch on the piano that conveys feeling and conviction. He has made a tremendous effort to give something back to Christmas music. His fine instrumental arrangements will play in my house for many years to come.
Barta's recordings will make fine gifts or worthy additions to the Christmas library.
