Our Review
Christian artist Denise Edwards loves to sing and write music that gives glory to the Lord, and that is just what she does on Oh, What a Gift!, an EP that celebrates the season with five cheery Edwards originals.
Edwards has a comfortable alto that conveys a sincere faith and contagious optimism, and her songwriting skills are solid. The catchy title track is an upbeat jewel with sweet harmonies (with Jennifer O'Brien). Her Christmas Time conveys the important message of loving acceptance in an uncertain world; the catchy chorus reassures us that "God loves you just as you are."
The EP ends in just 16 minutes, but if you are looking to recharge your spiritual batteries in an often jaded season, those 16 minutes with Denise Edwards may be more than enough to do the trick.
