Our Review
Apparently long a household word in the Northwest, I was introduced to Magical Strings only recently. Called the "Von Trapp Family of the Northwest," Philip and Pam Boulding, along with their children Geoffrey, Brenin, Morgan, Marshall, and Brittany, have established themselves as an American Celtic Tour O'force.
As I listened to the almost magical Good People All, my wife Laura--the Hot Chocolate Queen herself--listened to this record (a rare thing, as she doesn't usually listen to Christmas CDs before Thanksgiving), awarding it her Cadbury's seal of approval. She suggested I rate this record highly, something that is very easy for me to do. The sixteen songs on this CD are some beautiful harp and hammer dulcimer arrangements--particularly the title track and All Through the Night, a wonderful, rare gem played to perfection by the Magical Strings .
