Our Review
You see the word Hallelujah! in the title, with a big old exclamation point after it and you might not expect to hear relaxed, laid-back singer-songwriter renditions. But despite the shouting title, Hallelujah! is a wonderfully accessible and eminently lovable 14-song acoustic feast, featuring seven original songs by Connie Hill and Nita Velo. To a one, the songs are reverent and introspective. The appeal of this CD lies in the originality of its offering. Vocally, the three women are plaintively, girls next door folky.
Low key, but powerful, Hallelujah! is quite deserving of its exclamation point!
