The Holidays at Home is a marvelous musical compilation by women singer-songwriters to benefit Children International; in fact, 100% of sales proceeds benefit this worthy cause. Christmas, creative talent, and helping children provide a natural synergy for this holiday release, and the news is all good.

I am already familiar with two of these 16 fabulous ladies. In past years, I reviewed holiday offerings by Kerry Getz and Sarah Lentz, both superb. The extensive liner notes here provide every lyric and online contact information for all artists, making the album a true treasure trove of acoustic pop/folk discoveries.

The Holidays at Home is a fantastic presentation of diverse voices and all original tunes. From the opening bars of Susan Greenbaum's excellent You Are My Holiday to the final moments of Katie Reider's remarkable Welcome Child, I was enthralled. The songwriting is intelligent, and the melodies are downright infectious. If you long for exposure to holiday music that is smartly entertaining, well crafted, and wonderfully creative, then The Holidays at Home is your ticket to great seasonal music this year. And, to top it all off, your purchase will benefit Children International and make the world a better place! How perfect is that?

The Holidays at Home is a compilation to benefit CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL, a nonprofit organization to benefit poor and disadvantaged children in the United States and around the world.

Raymond Steiner's latest installation of The Holidays at Home is the gift that reaches around the world. Steiner has contributed 100% of the proceeds from the sales of his CDs to Children International to help impoverished children in 11 countries around the world.
