Our Review

Despite its emphasis on body parts and their various sounds and smells, Jim Cosgrove's Mr. Stinky Feet's Christmas is a friendly, child-accessible, parent-approved offering. I had a little trouble following the story, and I didn't find out much about the enigmatic Mr. Stinky Feet, but most of the songs stand by themselves. In particular, I liked some of the traditional, non-stinkyfeet-themed Christmas songs performed by Mr. Cosgrove. In particular, I liked his heartwarming version of Away In A Manger, with the chorus of children singing background vocals.

What I liked most about this children's record was that in addition to the gentle and likeable Jim Cosgrove, I heard a lot of children's voices. It is very late in the season, and I hope to give this CD a bit more attention at a later date, but my quick-listen-and-review first impression is quite positive.
